Prenatal Yoga - weekly drop in classes

Relax your mind, strengthen your body, and prepare for birth.  A regular prenatal yoga practice can alleviate many of the physical discomforts of pregnancy, as well as anxiety and stress. Prenatal yoga classes provide an opportunity to connect with your baby and your community, while developing the balance, stamina, and confidence you’ll need during birth and motherhood.

Sundays 5:00pm - 6:00pm + Wednesdays 6:00pm - 7:00pm.  Register here.

Postnatal Yoga - weekly drop-in class

Nurture and strengthen your body and mind while connecting with your baby.  This class will help you relieve stress, loosen your tight shoulders and back, regain abdominal strength, balance out your hormones, increase your energy, and connect you with other moms in the community.

We will stretch and strengthen our bodies in yoga postures that are safe and appropriate for the postpartum body, practice breath work and guided relaxation to relieve tension and stress, and allow time for group discussion about our experiences as new mothers.

This class is for women who have permission from their to resume fitness activities, and their non-mobile babies. Mothers are welcome to care for their babies as needed throughout the class.  Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and diaper changing are expected and encouraged (we have a changing table in our restroom).  Please feel free to arrive late and/or leave early as needed.

Movement, Relaxation, + Massage for Labor

You will learn which positions and types of movements are most comfortable, can help facilitate progress in labor, and can improve the alignment of your pelvis and baby. Moms and their partners will learn and practice how to breathe and relax during labor to reduce tension, anxiety, and pain. Support partners will learn touch relaxation and massage techniques that will help mom relax and stay comfortable throughout labor. We will also discuss which types of touch and breathing are most helpful for each stage of labor.
