Movement, Relaxation, + Massage for Labor

During this class we will take the time to practice some of the coping techniques that are discussed during more general childbirth education classes. You will learn which positions and types of movements are most comfortable, can help facilitate progress in labor, and can improve the alignment of your pelvis and baby. Moms and their partners will learn and practice how to breathe and relax during labor to reduce tension, anxiety, and pain. Support partners will learn touch relaxation and massage techniques that will help mom relax and stay comfortable throughout labor. You will have the opportunity to practice multiple positions, breathing and touch relaxation/massage techniques together so that you will feel well prepared for labor. We will also discuss which types of touch and breathing are most helpful for each stage of labor.
$45 for expectant mom, with one support person. Space is limited to 6 couples.  Register here.
