Our Postnatal Yoga class is a weekly drop-in class that meets every Monday 10:45am - 12:00pm.
Nurture and strengthen your body and mind while connecting with your baby. This class will help you relieve stress, loosen your tight shoulders and back, regain abdominal strength, balance out your hormones, increase your energy, and connect you with other moms in the community.
We will stretch and strengthen our bodies in yoga postures that are safe and appropriate for the postpartum body, practice breath work and guided relaxation to relieve tension and stress, and allow time for group discussion about our experiences as new mothers.
This class is for women who have permission from their medical provider to resume fitness activities, and their non-mobile babies. Mothers are welcome to care for their babies as needed throughout the class. Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and diaper changing are expected and encouraged (we have a changing table in our restroom). Please feel free to arrive late and/or leave early as needed.
