Yoga for Easing Anxiety and Depression
Liz Owen, E-RYT500
In this workshop you will learn about the dynamics and practice of yoga as it relates to depression and anxiety, and you will take away an understanding of how to use yoga in your everyday life to create mental and emotional well-being. Both discussion and practice portions are based on NIH-funded research co-authored by Owen and conducted at Boston University School of Medicine. The practice portion of the workshop includes active and restorative yoga postures, pranayama, and therapeutic deep relaxation.
This workshop is suitable for anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge of easing depression and anxiety. An electronic booklet will be given to all participants. Three Yoga Alliance CEU credits are available for yoga teachers.
