Find your stillness in this Yin Yoga Workshop with Joanne Afarian
Discover new limits of physical and mental stamina with an exploration into Yin Yoga. This style of yoga is a downtempo, meditative practice. Although the practice is slower, it can be quite challenging*. Yin postures are held for long periods of time (5+ minutes) to promote healthy physical responses from the joints and deeper connective tissues of the body. Longer held poses also allow specific meridians, or energy channels, in the body to open so prana can flow more freely. This release of prana, or life force, restores a harmonious balance to the mind and body.
Join Joanne for a workshop consisting of a short lecture followed by an amazing Yin Yoga sequence. As this type of yoga often requires the use of wonderful bolsters and sometimes numerous blankets, this workshop is limited to 15 students…so don’t wait to register!
WHEN: Friday, November 16th, 6:30pm-8:00pm COST: $25 Register here.
*Yin Yoga is NOT the same as Restorative Yoga. This is a physically challenging practice that may not be suitable for new students or students recovering from a recent joint related injury.
